Top 10 popular outbound tourism destinations

China's outbound tourism market is gaining recovery, with its sentiment score at 28 in the first half of this year, up 21 points compared with the same period of 2019 and reaching the highest point, according to the World Tourism Alliance, a global nongovernmental and nonprofit organization.

Chinese tourists are once again becoming an important force driving the global tourism industry and the offline spending industry.

During Jan to June, the per capita spending of Alipay users on outbound travel increased by 24 percent from the same period of 2019.

Immigration departments across China inspected 168 million border entries and exits in the first six months, up nearly 170 percent year-on-year, according to the National Immigration Administration.

Additionally, over 10 million ordinary passports were issued from Jan to June, and the number of documents issued for travel between the mainland and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan jumped 15-fold year-on-year to 42.8 million, said the administration.
