Asia's first major global event dedicated to expanding perspectives on arts and health was launched at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) on Tuesday.

Co-produced by the HKBU School of Creative Arts and the Global South Arts and Health Initiative, the five-day Hong Kong Global Arts & Health Festival 2026 gathers artists, healthcare professionals, researchers, and policymakers to explore the transformative potential of creativity in health systems and community well-being.

Running until Nov 7, the event, themed "The Untapped Power of Creativity: International Symposium on Using the Arts to Improve Health and Well-Being for All", features keynote talks, panel discussions, workshops, performances and exhibitions highlighting innovative practices and emerging trends in arts and health, offering a platform for learning, connection, and contributing to the future of health globally.
