Temperatures in Hong Kong are expected to drop to 16 degrees Celsius on Tuesday as a cold front moves across the coast of Guangdong, according to the Hong Kong Observatory.

In a weather update on Sunday afternoon, the observatory said the cold front will affect the region from Monday, with Hong Kong expected to have a maximum temperature of around 26 C during the day before falling to about 19 C in the evening.

“The minimum temperature on Tuesday morning will be about 16 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories,” it said.

The observatory said it will still be rather cool in the New Territories on Wednesday morning and the temperature difference between day and night will be rather large.
