An exhibition titled Shadow Puppetry in China will open at the Guangdong Museum in Guangzhou on Wednesday, displaying over 300 exhibits from 20 provinces featuring Chinese shadow puppetry.

Co-organized by the Chengdu Museum, the event will run through Dec 1 and marks the first exhibition in South China to display shadow puppets from across the nation.

Puppet production tools, manuscripts, and traditional musical instruments will also be on display, offering visitors a glimpse into the backstage intricacies of the shadow puppet show.
