Fans in Hong Kong are feeling giddy as a highly-anticipated exhibition featuring the world-famous Japanese manga Doraemon kicked off on Friday in Tsim Sha Tsui.
The “100% DORAEMON & FRIENDS” Tour attracted hundreds of visitors on its first day with hype generated weeks ago by a successful themed drone show in the city.
The event features scores of sculptures of the beloved blue robot cat and its friends, various installations depicting classic scenes from the manga, as well as a batch of exclusive artworks. It will run through Aug 11.
China Daily’s Andy Chong took the photos.
