A run, titled "Run for Children" Luang Prabang Half Marathon 2025, was held in the UNESCO World Heritage town of Luang Prabang in Laos on Saturday, attracting more than 3,000 participants.

The race began at the ancient city's National Museum, passing through temples along the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers, enabling runners to experience the charm of Luang Prabang's mixed cultural and natural heritage.

The event aims to raise funds and awareness for the Lao Friends Hospital for Children, the only pediatric hospital in northern Laos providing free medical care to more than 35,000 children each year.

The race was organized by the hospital, in collaboration with China Daily and the RVi Group.

China Daily’s Adam Lam took the photos on Saturday.
