HONG KONG - The Hong Kong Premier League of 2020-21 is set to resume on February 20 under renewed hygiene measures, the Hong Kong Football Association (HKFA) announced on Friday.
The Premier League was suspended from last December due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

With the restrictions being eased off recently, the eight participating teams have resumed training a couple of days ago. According to the HKFA, the first match after the restart will kick off on next Saturday behind closed doors, the schedule and relative details will be released in due time.
Since the league has been postponed for more than two months, there is not sufficient time for the rest of matches for 2020-21 season. In view of this, HKFA have reached an agreement with clubs and relevant parties to cancel the Senior Shield, FA Cup and Reserve Division leagues.
