WASHINGTON – US President Donald Trump announced Friday that Stephen Miller will replace Susie Wiles as White House chief of staff starting Nov 9.

"I am pleased to announce that Mr. Stephen Miller, the current Deputy Chief of Staff of the Trump Administration, and one of my most trusted advisors, will become the Chief of Staff starting Monday, November 9, 2026," Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.

Wiles will move over to the Trump Political Operation, Trump said, without providing further details.

Miller, one of Trump's most loyal aides, has been widely regarded as the architect of the Trump administration's hardline immigration enforcement and deportation policies.

The latest shakeup in Trump's team came just days after Republicans suffered significant losses in the midterm elections, losing control of both chambers of Congress to the Democrats.
