
HONG KONG – The sixth edition of the Asia Summit on Global Health, a flagship event of the International Healthcare Week, will take place in Hong Kong from May 11 to 12, bringing together officials, medical experts, investors and industry leaders from 15 countries and regions.
Themed “Fuelling Healthcare Breakthroughs”, this high-profile event will feature multiple panel discussions on pressing issues, such as artificial intelligence, the national 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) and the silver economy.
It will serve as a collaborative platform to share valuable insights on public health, medical technology and international trade cooperation and investment.
The 17th Hong Kong International Medical and Healthcare Fair will also open on the sidelines next week from May 11 to 13.
All about entertainment & leisure
The Asia Amusement & Attractions Expo, one of the region’s leading trade fairs for the entertainment and leisure industry, will return next week to the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou.
Running from May 10 to 12, this year’s edition is expected to draw more than 1,500 exhibitors from across the world, ranging from equipment and service suppliers of theme parks, water parks and scenic spots, to event planners and entertainment project managers.
The fair will feature around 6,500 booths across more than 150,000 square meters, according to the organizers.
Interactive experiences spread in multiple thematic zones, including the Rides Test Zone and the Food and Beverage Zone, have been planned to showcase the industry’s latest trends.
Battery power
Shenzhen will become a new energy showcase with the 18th China International Battery Fair set to be held from May 13 to 15 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center.
More than 3,000 exhibitors will present their power batteries, energy storage batteries, hydrogen energy, fuel cells etc.
Two industry-related exhibitions, one focusing on energy storage and the other on international hydrogen energy and fuel cells, will be held concurrently.
With an exhibition area of 320,000 square meters, the fair is expected to attract over 400,000 attendees.
