The annual Art Basel Hong Kong kicks off on Friday, showcasing 240 leading galleries from 41 countries and regions, including 29 galleries from Hong Kong, according to the organizers.
This year’s event reaffirms its role as a global platform for the arts rooted in the Asia-Pacific, with more than half of the exhibitors coming from the region.
The public programs returned with free access to film screenings, conversations, and collaborative events with cultural institutions across Hong Kong, enhancing ties with the city and its communities.
China Daily’s Andy Chong captured the moments on Wednesday.
