Chinese shares close higher Thursday

BEIJING - Chinese stocks closed higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.65 percent to 3,605.73 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 1.21 percent higher at 11,193.06 points.
