(EDMOND TANG / CHINA DAILY)HONG KONG - An opening ceremony of an exhibition to celebrate China's space achievements was held in Hong Kong on Saturday.
Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, Tan Tieniu, deputy chief of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and several of China's top aerospace scientists visiting the city including Qi Faren, first chief designer of China's Shenzhou spacecraft, and Hu Hao, chief designer of China's third-phase lunar exploration program, officiated the ceremony.
The exhibition, which will showcase some lunar soil brought back to Earth by Chang'e 5 spacecraft among others, is part of a series of activities being held across the city during a five-day visit by six of the nation’s top aerospace experts.
