Bulgarian defender Bodurov leaves Iran's Esteghlal

TEHRAN - Bulgarian defender Nikolay Bodurov parted ways with the Iranian Esteghlal soccer team, Tasnim news agency reported on Sunday.

The 33-year-old defender signed for the Iranian club in January on a six-month contract until the end of the season, with an option to extend his contract until the end of the 2020-21 season.

However, after the Iran Professional League (IPL) was postponed due to the novel coronavirus outbreak, Bodurov returned to Bulgaria.

On Saturday, Esteghlal announced that it has parted company with the Bulgarian defender.
