To mark the 29th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, a vibrant sea of national flags and regional flags of the HKSAR now adorn all of the city's 18 districts. 

The territory marks the anniversary on July 1 with citywide celebrations, and concession campaigns for public transport, dining and consumption and arts and leisure.
