Hong Kong has proven itself to be a safe, stable and secure business and investment hub with abundant opportunities for German businesses, the head of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Berlin told a seminar in Munich this week.
Leveraged by the special administrative region’s close connectivity with the Chinese mainland and the world under “one country, two systems”, the city serves as a “super connector” and “super value-adder”, offering a favorable business environment and an unparalleled access point to the vast Asian markets,” Indiana Wong Man-chung, director of the office, said at the event on Thursday.
Senior executives, investors and experts from the business community joined the seminar, entitled “Hong Kong’s Strategic Role amidst Geopolitical Tensions", for in-depth discussions on the SAR’s unique positions as a global financial, trade, and innovation hubs as international dynamics evolve.
Pointing out that current geopolitical tensions and escalations are prompting investors and entrepreneurs to reassess their global strategies, Wong said Hong Kong continues to excel in various international rankings, including those concerning the economy, finance and talents.
