Tickets for the 2025 National Games events to be held in Hong Kong in November will be priced between HK$50 ($6.37) and HK$500, with the organizers aiming to keep the prices “affordable” to encourage strong public attendance, according to Yeung Tak-keung, head of the National Games Coordination Office (Hong Kong).
The 15th edition of the National Games - to run from Nov 9 to 21 - will be historic as the first multisport event to be co-hosted by a Chinese mainland province, Guangdong, and the two special administrative regions - Hong Kong and Macao.
Hong Kong will stage 37 elite events across eight sports, and a mass participant event, bowling, with a 100-day countdown ceremony to be held in the city on Aug 2.

Tickets for the nation’s premier sporting show will go on sale online and offline, with the digital platform now undergoing testing, Yeung said on Wednesday.
Some events, such as fencing, will offer lower-priced tickets for the preliminary round, while knockout stages and finals may feature half-day passes at higher rates.
Meanwhile, the rugby sevens at Kai Tak Sports Park will follow the model of the Hong Kong Sevens tournament, selling all-day passes for its three-day schedule.
Yeung said Hong Kong has reached an initial agreement with Guangdong and Macao for China Central Television to record and broadcast the competition.
Matches involving Hong Kong athletes will be broadcast live as much as possible, while events held in Guangdong or Macao will be available through delayed coverage or highlights if live broadcasts are not feasible.

An initial torch relay plan, which is still under discussion among the three host regions, is expected to include a Hong Kong leg that will take in some of the city’s iconic landmarks, with live TV coverage, Yeung said.
