Old Town Central, Kowloon Walled City, Victoria Peak and ocean views from Sai Kung are among nine tourist hotspots unveiled by the Hong Kong government on Tuesday in a bid to boost the city’s tourism.

To further boost the city’s appeal to global tourists, the government’s Working Group on Developing Tourist Hotspots has announced a number of attractions to be rolled out from the second quarter this year, and to be fully implemented by the fourth quarter of 2026 at latest.

These projects — spanning Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, the New Territories and the city’s outlying islands — include sites related to local well-known brands like Lee Kum Kee, various bazaars in Victoria Park, a purple tabebuia garden in Tamar Park, historical buildings in Central, a number of spots in the Kowloon City district (including an exhibition featuring the now-demolished Kowloon Walled City), visits to events organized by the city's disciplined forces, the old Yau Ma Tei Police Station, outdoor landscapes including Victoria Peak, sea views from Sai Kung, and the former Hung Hom railway freight terminal.
