15 untraceable COVID-19 cases among 50 new in Hong Kong

HONG KONG - Hong Kong's Center for Health Protection reported 50 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, taking its overall tally to 9,502.

Four new patients were linked to a cluster that originated at the central tunnel construction site of the Central Kowloon Route

The new cases included 49 local infections, of which 15 had an unknown origin. The sole imported case reported on Saturday was from Pakistan.

There were also about 30 people who tested preliminarily positive, Chuang Shuk-kwan, head of the Centre for Health Protection’s communicable disease branch, said at a breifing.

Four new patients were linked to a cluster that originated at the central tunnel construction site of the Central Kowloon Route, Chuang said. So far 30 patients have been involved in this cluster.

According to Hong Kong's Hospital Authority, 536 COVID-19 patients are currently being treated in public hospitals and the community treatment facility at AsiaWorld-Expo, including 42 in critical condition.
