HK reports 4 new imported COVID-19 cases, tally at 1,124

HONG KONG Hong Kong's Center for Health Protection (CHP) reported four more imported cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, taking the total confirmed cases in Hong Kong to 1,124.

The new cases involved two males and two females who returned from Pakistan, the CHP said, adding that it is investigating those cases and tracing related close contacts.

The CHP said it also continued the investigations into recent cluster infections in two residential buildings in Sha Tin and said no new infections have been found as far

The Hospital Authority said 49 COVID-19 patients were still in the hospital.

Besides, a flight carrying some Hong Kong residents stranded in India arrived in Hong Kong on Thursday, with the next flight scheduled on Saturday. The HKSAR government has helped 570 Hong Kong residents return home by arranging two flights earlier this month and in May respectively.
