Star winner “Flying Fish” Siobhan Haughey on Monday won a second gold medal for the Hong Kong in the women’s 200-meter freestyle event at the 20th Asian Games being held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.

Haughey – Asia’s record holder for the event -- led throughout the race, finishing in one minute, 54.96 seconds, more than a body length ahead of the runner-up swimmer Li Jiaping from China.

Haughey said although her time wasn’t as fast as she had hoped, she had given it her all and was satisfied with the result.

In the men’s 50-m freestyle event, Ian Ho Yen-tou secured the silver medal for Hong Kong with a time of 21.76 seconds, only 0.1 seconds slower than the Korean champion Kim Young-beom.

As of Monday afternoon, the Hong Kong, China team’s medal tally in the tournament reached seven -- two golds, three silvers and two bronzes.
