Hong Kong book fair kicks off

The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai buzzed with excitement as the 36th Hong Kong Book Fair kicked off on Wednesday. Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, this year’s event, themed "Reading the World: Cultural Legacy • Joyful Journeys", offers a week-long celebration of literature and culture, continuing through next Tuesday.

Drawing in over 770 exhibitors from nearly 30 countries and regions, the event saw a steady stream of visitors and featured a series of cultural activities, including author talks, book signings, and interactive workshops, aimed at fostering a love for reading and an appreciation for cultural heritage.

China Daily made an impact at the event as a participant, hosting a booth that attracted visitors ranging from readers to industry professionals. The booth showcased a wide selection, including the latest newspapers, special reports, and souvenirs, emphasizing the publication's commitment to fostering cross-cultural understanding and promoting Chinese culture on a global stage.
