HONG KONG – The Department of Justice on Thursday published the second series of the "Collection of Success Stories: Hong Kong's Professional Services Supporting Chinese Mainland Enterprises Going Global."
Compiling over 160 cases, the new series nearly triples the inaugural volume, showcasing the special administrative region’s capacity to provide comprehensive, full-chain, end-to-end support for Chinese mainland businesses expanding internationally.
The stories cover a diverse array of cross-disciplinary practices, including legal, accounting, financial, and business consultancy sectors, said Deputy Secretary for Justice and Chairman of the Expert Committee on Professional Services for Going Global Horace Cheung Kwok-kwan.
Vividly demonstrating the unique value of Hong Kong’s professional services, the cases highlight three defining features: full business lifecycle coverage, representation across diverse industries, and global investment footprints, added Cheung.
The publication builds upon the launch of the Hong Kong Professional Services GoGlobal Platform and the first series of the collection in December.
The DoJ said that through the initiative, it aims to foster collaboration across vital professional sectors, such as accounting and finance, to jointly support mainland enterprises.
The deputy secretary said mainland enterprises can no longer treat professional services as remedial emergency fixes in today's increasingly complex and volatile global environment where multiple risks intersect. Instead, such services should be regarded as core components in the design of projects from the outset to enable source-based risk management.
The second series of the Collection of Success Stories will offer a highly valuable and practical reference for mainland enterprises seeking to go global, he added.
