Global Recognition of English Proficiency

The TOEFL Junior® test, designed by ETS for students aged 11–17, is an internationally recognized assessment of English proficiency. It evaluates listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in academic contexts, with scores aligned to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) and the Lexile Framework for Reading.

Such international certification is invaluable for students’ academic and future development:

  • Foundation for Further Studies: TOEFL Junior® serves as a bridge to the TOEFL iBT, preparing students for higher-level international English examinations and applications to overseas schools and universities.
  • Learning Progress Planning: Detailed score reports highlight strengths and areas for improvement, enabling teachers and parents to tailor learning plans for balanced development across all language skills.
  • Enhancing Global Competitiveness: Strong TOEFL and IELTS results are key entry requirements for top universities worldwide. HKBUAS Wong Kam Fai students consistently excel, with an average IELTS score of 7.8—surpassing the admission requirements of many leading institutions.

Building Strong Foundations for Excellence

HKBUAS Wong Kam Fai has long emphasized building a solid language foundation through its school-based curriculum and diverse teaching activities. The outstanding results in TOEFL Junior® and IELTS reaffirm the effectiveness of its educational approach.
