China urged relevant parties to remain calm and exercise restraint on Wednesday, warning against any actions that could escalate tensions or further destabilize the situation in Iran.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian made the remarks after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed attacks on US military bases in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan after US strikes on Iranian ports and islands in the Strait of Hormuz.
