US military strikes alleged drug boat in eastern Pacific, killing 3

WASHINGTON - The US military struck an alleged narco-trafficking boat in the eastern Pacific on Saturday, killing three people aboard, the US Southern Command said.

"Intelligence confirmed the vessel was transiting along known narco-trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific and was engaged in narco-trafficking operations," the command said in a post on X.

Three male "narco-terrorists" were killed during this action and no US military forces were harmed, it added.

Since early September, the US military has conducted dozens of lethal airstrikes on suspected drug-trafficking boats, claiming more than 200 lives in total.
