Chinese cultural extravaganza

A high-level Chinese culture festival showcased the highlights and programs available at this year’s event on Thursday.

The Chinese Culture Festival 2026, themed “Legends”, will take place from June to September.

The festival will explore Chinese legends and folklore, with an emphasis on the cultural heritage of the Sui (581-618) and Tang (618-907) dynasties, and the historical allure of the ancient capital, Luoyang, event organizers said.

Leading artists and troupes from the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong headline an impressive range of performances with over 280 stage programs, film screenings, exhibitions, talks, and school activities planned.
