
The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region recorded more than 5.09 million inbound and outbound passenger trips during the first four days of the Easter and Qingming holidays.
According to the SAR’s Immigration Department, the city’s land, sea and air checkpoints logged 5,094,680 cross-boundary trips from Friday to Monday. The holiday break ends on Tuesday.
Friday saw 1,234,749 trips, with 1,235,949, 1,282,026 and 1,341,956 trips recorded on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, respectively.
The department had projected over 6.44 million passenger trips made during the Easter and Qingming holidays from April 3 to 7.
