Hang Seng Index opens 2.61% higher

HONG KONG - Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 656.03 points, or 2.61 percent, to open at 25,772.56 points on Wednesday.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng Tech Index, which represents the 30 largest technology companies listed in Hong Kong, once rose over 3 percent to hit nearly 4 percent in the morning session, shortly after opening on Wednesday, the first trading day after the holiday.
