BEIJING - Compatriots in Taiwan will no longer need to worry about shortages of energy and other supplies after peaceful reunification, a mainland spokesperson said on Wednesday.

Zhang Han, a spokesperson for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, made the comments at a regular press conference in response to a media query about tight oil supply and possible drug shortages in Taiwan due to the conflict in the Middle East.
