Residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region continued to pay tribute on Monday with flowers to the victims of the deadly fire that ravaged Tai Po’s Wang Fuk Court estate. Mourners waited in line in remembrance of their compatriots who died in this tragic event.

Hong Kong has entered the third day of a mourning period that started on Saturday.

The notes written by Hong Kong mourners are seen near the fire-ravaged Wang Fuk Court estate in Tai Po on Dec 1, 2025. The messages contained a variety of wishes and blessings, such as “Please rest in peace,” “Firefighters, you've worked hard! ”“Medical staff, thanks for your efforts,” “Please investigate,” “God bless you,” and “Hong Kong must be strong”.
