CE presents honors, awards to 405 people

Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu recognized 405 honorees during the 2025 Honours & Awards Presentation Ceremony at Government House on Saturday.

Among the recipients, three individuals - Lawrence Fung Siu-por, Charles Yeung Chun-kam and John Leong Chi-yan - received the Grand Bauhinia Medal, the city’s highest award, according to a Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government statement.

Nineteen people also received the Gold Bauhinia Star while 26 were awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star.

The awards honored people from different walks of life who have made significant contributions to Hong Kong, benefiting different sectors of the community.

The Distinguished Service Medal, given to members of the disciplined services and the Independent Commission Against Corruption, were awarded to 11 people while 43 received the Bronze Bauhinia Star, and two received the Medal for Bravery (Bronze).

The Meritorious Service Medal, also awarded to members of the disciplined services and the ICAC, were given to 44 people.

The Medal of Honour was awarded to 107 people, 74 received the Chief Executive's Commendation for Community Service, while 76 received the Chief Executive's Commendation for Government/Public Service.
