Shenzhen will host the world’s first exposition dedicated to autonomous vehicles — the International Autonomous Mobility Expo (IAMEE) — from Sept 24 to 26.
The event will be staged at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, as part of the 19th China (Shenzhen) International Logistics and Supply Chain Fair (CILF2025).
The expo will showcase cutting-edge applications of new technologies — including artificial intelligence-driven scheduling, autonomous driving, and unmanned delivery vehicles — within the logistics sector.

This focus is highly relevant to Shenzhen, a national leader in autonomous vehicle operation. As of the end of August, the city had over 800 self-driving vehicles on the road, 400 of which are unmanned delivery vehicles, operating across 760 routes and 16 regular inter-district trunk links.
A prime example of their utility is in package delivery, where driverless vehicles efficiently cover the distance between a logistics company’s service points and neighborhood pickup stations.
This innovation has significantly altered the workflow for couriers. "I used to walk more than 20,000 steps every day pushing a cart," said delivery man Zhang Kai. "Now I just need to wait for the packages at the pickup stations and take them to the door."
The technology is also gaining ground in fresh food delivery, which demands an under-30-minute delivery time. In Shenzhen, more than 20 percent of all autonomous delivery orders are now for fresh food.
