HONG KONG - Kai Tak Sports Park (KTSP), Hong Kong’s largest integrated sports and entertainment venue, opened Playfield 5 in its North Garden on Friday as part of its “Sports for All” initiative.

Playfield 5, presented by Li-Ning, spans 4,300 square metres and is inspired by the Chinese Five Elements. It is designed for all age groups and offers public access year-round.

The launch follows the July opening of a Covered Court and a Beach Ball Court, with a Multi-Purpose Tennis Court scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2025.

The North Garden development aims to expand public sports facilities and support community engagement.

Located on the former Kai Tak Airport site, KTSP integrates a main stadium, indoor arena, retail, dining, and parkland. The venue hosts international events and community activities, contributing to Hong Kong’s sports and cultural development.

China Daily's Adam Lam captured these moments on Friday.
