HONG KONG – The 35th Hong Kong Book Fair opened on Wednesday at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai.
Themed “Food Culture・Future Living”, this year’s fair featured over 770 exhibitors and 620 cultural activities, both onsite and offsite. These include seminars with acclaimed authors, book launches, and a variety of multicultural events.
Readers are invited to explore culinary traditions and histories from diverse perspectives, understand the connection between diet and healthy living, and discover how technology is shaping future eating habits and lifestyle, according to the organizer of the event, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
For the first time, a Cultural and Creative Products Zone has been introduced, offering interactive experiences related to the city's intangible cultural heritage. The zone also showcased a selection of products from Macao and the Palace Museum in Beijing.

The Chinese Mainland Pavilion this year highlighted Sichuan province in Southwest China — the home of giant pandas — as the thematic province.
Under the theme “Sichuan and Hong Kong: Weaving Culture, Crafting Tomorrow”, the pavilion presented Sichuan’s lifestyle and traditions through iconic elements such as cuisine, wine, tea, opera, and embroidery, all deeply rooted in the province’s rich cultural heritage.
The book fair will run until next Tuesday.
