HONG KONG - An art exhibition showcasing masterpieces by 300 local artists in six different themes, including the nation's landscape and the city's vibrancy, opened at the Hong Kong Central Library on Friday.

Themed "Landscape Picturesque", the exhibition has been organized as part of the 4th edition of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Culture and Arts Festival to mark the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. 

Visitors could engage with the artists by taking part in sharing sessions and demonstrations as well as painting workshops.

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is hosting the festival for the first time, coordinating various cultural and performing arts activities with the 11 cities of the Bay Area.

Running through Oct 30, this exhibition has been co-organized by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles Hong Kong Member Association (HKL&A), the China Artists Association HK Chapter, and the Hong Kong Artists Association.
