HONG KONG - More than 100 athletes from around the world took part in the 2024 World Triathlon Cup Hong Kong on Sunday.

The World Cup Triathlon Hong Kong event showcased the sprint distance, including a 750-meter swim, a 20-kilometer bike ride, and a 5-km run. The one-day event provided an opportunity for professional athletes to compete for the Paris Olympic Games 2024 and world ranking points.

Since its first appearance at the Sydney Olympic Games 2000, the triathlon has become one of the fastest-growing sports in the world.
