Police officers, firefighters, aid workers and local residents took part in an inter-department exercise in Hong Kong's Happy Valley on Thursday simulating a fire incident on a race day that caused multiple casualties.

Codenamed "BROKEPIN", the exercise aims to enhance collaboration, emergency response capabilities, and efficiency of rescuers.

Over 400 people participated in the large-scale response drill, according to the local media.
