Vietnam reaches consensus on growth, employment

HANOI — The eighth plenum of the 13th Communist Party of the Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) concluded on Sunday with a consensus on improving the growth quality, creating jobs and increasing income for laborers.

In his closing remark, General Secretary of the CPVCC Nguyen Phu Trong said these goals should be realized based on maintaining macroeconomic stability and ensuring the economy's major balances and social security, Vietnam News Agency reported.

He called for keeping a close watch on the international and domestic situation to promptly make appropriate and effective decisions and striving to achieve the highest level of major goals and targets for 2023 and the entire 13th term.
