HAIKOU - Even Pep Guardiola would struggle to improve Zhejiang FC's conversion of chances into goals, the team's head coach Jordi Vinyals said on Monday when discussing his side's wasted opportunities against Shandong Taishan.

I don't know any coach who has a very special way to help convert chances into goals, I'm afraid even [Manchester City manager] Guardiola doesn't have it. What we can do is to create more scoring chances.

The Zhejiang team failed to score in their 1-0 loss to ten-man Shandong last Friday in the Chinese Super League season opener, which Vinyals said he could do little about.

"I don't know any coach who has a very special way to help convert chances into goals, I'm afraid even [Manchester City manager] Guardiola doesn't have it," said the former Barcelona youth team head coach.

"What we can do is to create more scoring chances," he added.

On Tuesday, Zhejiang will face Changchun Yatai, who won their first game of this season 4-1 against Guangzhou City last Saturday.
