HONG KONG - Hong Kong reported on Friday seven new imported COVID-19 cases, taking the tally to 12,176.
In a statement, the Centre for Health Protection (CHP) said the new cases involved four men who arrived from India, two women who came from the Philippines and one man who traveled from Ghana. All of them were asymptomatic.
Among the patients who arrived form India, aged 24 to 34, one of them has received one dose of the CoronaVac vaccine in Indonesia on July 28. The other three are not vaccinated yet.

Meanwhile, the two women have both been fully vaccinated with the CoronaVac shot while the male patient who came from Ghana had received two doses of the Comirnaty vaccine in Hong Kong.

In its statement, the CHP also said it was investigating an overseas case involving a 47-year-old man, who lives at Tower 11, Carmel Cove, Phase 3, Caribbean Coast, 1 Kin Tung Road, Tung Chung.
The man, who is a cargo flight crew member, tested negative for COVID-19 in Hong Kong on Sept 17. He then traveled to Australia on Sept 20 on flight HX2017 and returned to Hong Kong on Sept 22 on flight HX2018.
He returned to his residence for self-isolation after his specimen collected upon arrival on the same day tested negative.
On Thursday, the Australian health authorities informed the CHP that the man's specimen that was collected in Australia on Sept 20 tested positive for COVID-19.

The man remains asymptomatic and has been admitted to hospital for treatment. The first sample collected after his admission returned negative and the hospital will arrange further tests.
"As a prudent measure, the building where he resided in Hong Kong has been included in a compulsory testing notice yesterday. Specified persons who were present at the relevant venue at specified periods need to undergo compulsory testing on or before the specified date," the CHP said.
