The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region delegation won three silver medals — two for rowing and one for wushu — at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, on Thursday morning.

Rower Winne Hung Wing-yan won silver in the women’s lightweight single sculls with a time of 7 minutes 28.54 seconds. Hung led throughout the first half of the 2,000-meter course, but was overtaken by the Iranian athlete Fatemeh Mojallal at around the 1,500-meter mark. This the first time Hung has won a medal at the 26th Asian Games, and her third appearance at the international event.

Cheung Yuen-shan and Leung Wing-wun grabbed silver together in the women's lightweight double sculls.

Another silver was claimed by wushu athlete Leung Yu-hong in the men's Sanda 60-kilogram category, while gold went to national team athlete Tang Sishuo.

So far, the Hong Kong team has won a total of 19 medals— three golds, nine silvers and seven bronzes — at the games.
