PYONGYANG – The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) tested what it called "a new combat weapon system" in its latest missile launch on Sunday in the presence of its top leader, the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said Tuesday.

Kim Jong-un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the DPRK, called the test "a striking demonstration of ultra-modern defense technology and clear progress in the modernization of the armed forces," said the report.
