Abduction case of Chinese woman in Thailand under investigation

BANGKOK – A Chinese woman who was abducted in Thailand and later escaped has been given proper accommodation and is cooperating with police in the investigation, the Chinese Embassy in Thailand told Xinhua.

The embassy said it maintains close contact with Thai police and is following the case closely, which remains under further investigation and legal proceedings.

According to Thai media reports, the Chinese woman escaped while being transported toward the Thailand-Myanmar border. Thai police have intervened and arrested four suspects in connection with the incident.
