
The Hong Kong Observatory forecasts cooler weather for the city next week with a dry northeast monsoon affecting the coast of Guangdong.
It was sunny across Hong Kong during the day on Saturday and the weather is forecast to remain fine and dry in the later part of the day with moderate to fresh east to northeasterly winds.
At 3 pm, the temperature was 17.6 degrees Celsius at Tai Mo Shan, 19.5 degrees Celsius at Tate's Cairn and 28.1 degrees Celsius at Lau Fau Shan and Yuen Long Park.
Over the next couple of days, the weather will be mainly fine and warm during the day, according to the observatory.

But the city dwellers should brace for cooler weather next week as a cold front is expected to reach the coast of Guangdong Monday night to early Tuesday.
“Winds will strengthen gradually from the north on Monday night. Becoming appreciably cool on Tuesday,” the HKO said in a weather bulletin on Saturday.
The temperatures will drop to about 13 to 14 degrees on Wednesday, it added.
With the monsoon moderating slightly in the latter part of next week, temperatures over the coast of southern China will rise gradually.
