China's market regulator summons Huolala over antitrust

The State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) has summoned on-demand truck-hailing platform, Huolala, for talks, ordering the company to strictly comply with the country's anti-monopoly laws and ensure fair competition, the regulator said in a statement on Tuesday.

The top market regulator asked Huolala to take responsibility for antitrust compliance, rectify business practices in a timely manner, and participate fairly in market competition.

The regulator also urged the firm to safeguard the rights of truck drivers and consumers, make its platform's rules and algorithms fair, just and transparent, and help promote the healthy development of the industry.
