Hong Kong has raked in two bronze medals at the 2025 World University Games in Germany, ranking 12th in the overall medals tally on Sunday, with one gold and three bronzes.
The two bronze medals were clinched in table tennis and fencing.
Hong Kong’s female table tennis e team -- Kong Tsz-lam, Lee Hoi-man, Ng Wing-lam and Wong Hoi-tung – secured a bronze after losing the semifinal 1-3 to Japan.

Summer Sit Fay, 19, won a bronze in the Women’s Sabre Individual event after losing to South Korea’s Jeon Jayoung 12-15 in the semifinal.
So far, the special administrative region has won four medals.
On Friday, Kaylin Hsieh Sin-yan got the city’s first gold medal at the 2025 FISU Summer World University Games in Germany, defending her women’s épée individual title in a nerve-shredding 9-8 final victory over Ukraine’s Anna Maksymenko.

More than 9,200 participants from more than 150 countries and regions are competing in the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 Games being held in Duisburg from July 16 to 27.
The SAR has sent 75 athletes to compete in 10 sports events.
