HONG KONG - The Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre hosted a preview of Tang Vogue Beyond the Horizons: A Golden Era of Multicultural Integration and Openness in Hong Kong on Friday.
Jointly organized by the Development Bureau (DEVB) and the National Cultural Heritage Administration (NCHA), the exhibition presents 298 artefacts from 28 museums across 10 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities. Highlights include 49 grade-one cultural relics and 29 items from the Tang Dynasty (618-907) unearthed in Hong Kong.
Divided into eight thematic sections, the exhibition examines the Tang Dynasty’s cultural, religious, and trade exchanges, with a focus on Hong Kong’s historical role in the Maritime Silk Road.
Running from June 28 to Dec 3, the event marks the most extensive collaboration between DEVB and NCHA since their 2022 Framework Agreement on cultural heritage cooperation.
