Mexicans go to polls in first-ever judicial election

MEXICO CITY - Mexicans went to the polls Sunday to cast their votes in the country's first-ever election for members of the judiciary -- from the federal supreme court to local courts.

Mexicans cast their votes for 881 judicial posts at national and regional levels, including the nine justices of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, according to the National Electoral Institute.

The results are expected to be announced in 10 days.
