Japanese contemporary artist Toyofuku Ryo's first solo exhibition in Hong Kong, The Golden Realm, has been launched at Oil Street Art Space (Oi!). Within the exhibition are two large-scale installations, including Golden Tearoom – which shows the interior of a tea room adorned with 213 paintings created by the artist, which has drawn public attention.
Toyofuku hopes that the artistic experiences of his exhibition will be unique for each visitor and will resonate in their hearts, offering new perspectives that enrich their daily lives with fresh insights.

The golden tearoom is not entirely a product of imagination; it was inspired by a portable gilded tea room constructed during the late 16th-century Azuchi–Momoyama period for the tea ceremonies of a Japanese regent.
The exhibition will be on display until August 17, 2025, as part of an annual flagship project by Oi!.
