NANNING - Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday inspected two cities in south China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, visited the city of Nanning, capital of the autonomus region, and Laibin on Thursday morning and afternoon respectively.

During the inspection in Nanning, Xi visited the China-ASEAN Information Harbor Co Ltd and the Panlong community in Liangqing District, and conducted a field study concerning economic and trade cooperation between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the development and application of informatization, the improvement of urban community governance system and strengthening ethnic unity.
In Laibin, Xi visited a sugarcane base and a sugar company in the city, learning about the breeding, planting and harvesting of sugarcane and the development of the sugar industry.
